H.E Ali Yahya Abdullah, former Speaker  of the Council of States of Sudan ,

• Born in Al-Junainah, Sudan, 1951.
• Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law at Um Durman Islamic University. He assumed the following positions:
• Chairman of West Darfur state Court of Appeal.
• Chairman of West Darfur State’s Judiciary, 1995.
• Member of the Constitutional Court, 1998.
• Member of the advisory board at the Cabinet.
• Member of Darfur committee on dialogue.
